Mokaļ
is located at 235 23rd Street just off Collins Avenue. Conceptualized
and designed by owners Nicola Siervo, Karim Masri, Rony Seikaly and
Linley Edwards, in conjunction with Studio A Design in New York, Mokaļ offers a unique approach
towards lounge atmosphere with high-energy appeal and a vibrant
ambiance. Music will appeal to all patrons, with a mix of rock & roll,
hip-hop and house. Open six nights a week, Mokaļ will set new
standards in nightlife. Haunted by Lindsay Lohan, Pharrell Williams,
Jamie Lynn Sigler, Adrian Grenier and Enrique Iglesias (who likes to
play, what else, his own CD), this velvet rope club allows just 220
hard partyers inside the doors. But once inside, they can party till 5
AM so despite a delayed opening (thanks to the city of Miami), this
spot is now off and running. More of a bottle service lounge (they
have 22 tables) than a dancing type of place, why the Hugo Boss clad
ownership chose decor and moniker inspired by the New Zealand canyon
where the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed we'll never know.
