Nightlife and dining pacesetter Pure Management Group upped the ante over Labor Day weekend, with the grand opening of LAX on Friday, August 31 at Luxor. Like its sister property in Hollywood, LAX will cater to a young, sophisticated crowd and no doubt, become the destination of choice for discriminating club-goers, A-list celebrities and the social jet set. The club features a top-tier sound system perfect for multiple music styles, and its 26,000 square-foot, two-story space will be outfitted in rich, red leathers and adorned with oversized mirrors and shimmering chandeliers. A swanky dance floor anchors the lower level of LAX and is surrounded by an abundance of VIP tables and a raised DJ platform. The main level of LAX will entertain the masses, the second story serves as an ultra-VIP level and features seven individual VIP lofts as well as a private dance floor. Seemingly suspended over the main dance floor, each VIP loft has a bird's-eye view of the lower level and comes complete with amenities that will have large parties salivating for a chance to rise above the rest.

FEATURE Cachaça

Pronounced "KA SHA SA", Cachaça is made from sugar cane plant like rum. It is made from fresh sugarcane juice that's fermented and distilled. Cachaça is the national spirit of Brazil. It is also the key ingredient in Brazilian traditional cocktail, caipirinha.

Caipirinha
Pronounced 'KIE-PUR-REEN-YAH', this fresh, exotic cocktail is becoming as hot among international crowds as it is on Copacabana Beach. The traditional caipirinha blends Cachaça, sugar cane, lime juice and ice. Traditional Caipirinha is made with Cachaça, sugar, and crushed limes, served over ice. It is always muddled (crushed with a masher or the blunt end of a wooden spoon). Make sure to muddle in a shaker or a sturdy, non-breakable glass. You can also try replacing lime with about 1/2 cup of fresh tangerine, star fruit, passion fruit, peach, pear, pineapple, plum, orange, mango, grape, guava, figs, etc.
